Margam Sands is a long stretch (7km/4miles) of (not especially pretty) sandy beaches between Porthcawl and Port Talbot's steel works. Its backed by sand dunes.
Its a remote and quiet, with fine views of the steel works. Its mainly used by dog walkers.
There is a free car park near Margam village - walk through the sand dunes to the shore (about 1/2 mile).
From Porthcawl: Rest Bay, Sker Point, Kenfig Sands, Margam Sands.
